Football Player Welsh Athlete Ramsey Ups Reward for Lost Pet in Mexico to $$20k
Wales football star Aaron Ramsey has increased the incentive for leads concerning the lost canine Halo to £15k.
The former Premier League club Arsenal and Cardiff City midfielder, who currently is with Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, stated that Halo was last seen in San Miguel de Allende, located in the Guanajuato area.
Halo, who disappeared on 9 October, was equipped with a tracking device, and the footballer shared a exact coordinates of the spot she vanished from.
"Any sort of news concerning our pet Halo kindly contact us. Significant reward for reuniting with her. We are all wishing she is safe and comes home to our side soon," Ramsey shared on Instagram.
Initial Bounty and Emotional Pleas
The footballer initially revealed that Halo had disappeared a fortnight back and has since uploaded multiple photos of the cherished canine on his social media account.
A £7.5k reward was originally announced, but with no news on the dog's location after a seven days, the player and his family doubled the sum.
"All we desire is Halo returned," he said in another request on social media after the elderly dog disappeared.
The most recent photograph post is a black and white photo of Halo sleeping, its head resting in the bend of the athlete's elbow, with the message: "What I'd do to cuddle you once more Halo."
Family's Anxieties and Context
Ramsey has also posted a statement from his spouse Mrs. Ramsey on online channels indicating they have several "important concerns" surrounding the incident and fear the household "may never get explanations".
"We still have not located Halo. I don't think we ever will," his wife's update stated.
The Welsh captain joined Mexican premier club Club Universidad Nacional in recent months and made his debut in the Mexican league in the eighth month.
The Caerphilly-born athlete is the first high profile UK athlete to play in the Liga MX.
