Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs the Rapper Confronts Punishment Subsequent to National Prostitution Conviction
Sean Combs is scheduled to appear a US district judge in New York City this Friday to learn his fate subsequent to his conviction earlier this year on federal counts involving prostitution.

Following the two-month court case that wrapped up in this past July, panel members found Combs not guilty of the gravest allegations of human trafficking and conspiracy charges. However, the jury, however, convict him on a pair of offenses of moving individuals for sex work.

Sources indicate that Combs plans to speak directly to the judge before the judgment is announced, despite not testifying during the court case.
Via a motion lodged recently, his attorneys asked that he be permitted to show up in “civilian attire” at the sentencing, similar to he had throughout the court case when he dressed in sweaters and collared shirts.
“This court hearing carries great weight for Mr. Combs,” the filing noted. “He wishes to stand before the Court, address Your Honor, and allocate in the most respectful and dignified way feasible.”
Suggested Sentences
Various sentences remain under consideration, as the government and defense have made recommendations guided by federal penalty standards, though the last word is up to the judge.
Federal attorneys is recommending at least 135 months incarcerated – that’s over a decade – labeling Combs “showing no remorse” and pointing out coercive behavior that witnesses detailed.
His attorneys are seeking no more than fourteen months, which with time already served would enable Combs to be released by the conclusion of next year. They argue that his penalty has already served as sufficient for what they claim was willing intimate relations with paid “entertainers”.
Probation officials, in the meantime, calculated that the recommended sentencing range could extend to a maximum of over seven years.
