Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – Report
Skydance Paramount will initiate significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 American roles as part of a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August worth $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are likely, with the company planning to disclose complete information via its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.
Previous updates had indicated the firm planned to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 project-based staff.
Paramount Skydance has not yet commented regarding the report.
