Two Men Accused for Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges following the death in prison of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 stand indicted for homicide and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by investigating officers.

Watkins, 48, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were seized.
